Root Injection Fertilization

Root Injection Fertilization Services

Root injection fertilization, also known as deep root fertilization, is the most effective method for fertilizing trees and shrubs. This process involves sticking a pole into the soil about 8-12 feet, then, under pressure, squirting liquid fertilizer deep into the root zone of the trees.

The liquid fertilizer being injected under pressure helps aerate the soil which opens up air pockets, helping to provide much-needed oxygen to the root system.

Tree roots only grow and develop when they find oxygen, nutrients, and moisture, all of which are provided through root injection fertilzation. Since this process requires special equipment, it is usually done by an arborist.

When Should I Fertilize My Trees and How Often?

Healthy Trees Begin With Healthy Soil

Trees need help to stay healthy and a trees health begins with healthy soil. Deep root fertilization is a wise investment in your trees to help them look good and live a longer and healthier life.

How Often Is Root Injection Fertilization Required?
For most healthy trees, root injection fertilization should be repeated once or twice a year. However, in instances where severe root damage has occurred, soil compaction exists, or other health problems are present, more frequent injections may be required. In these cases, we may recommend increasing the frequency of applications and/or an additive to help solve the issue.
